Chapter 11
Written by Alecia, Jonathan L., Natalia, Anonymous
Jem’s 12th Birthday came about
So him and Scout went out
On their way back
Jem got angry
So he trashed Ms. Duboses house
After that Jem and Atticus clashed
His punishment for that
Was to read to Ms. Dubose
During the reading Ms. Dubose would act strange
Soon after she died
But then Jem didn’t cry
Because finally
His hands were untied.

Chapter 12
Written by Cameron, Morgan, Steffen, Victor
Jem is now 12 and has started to grow
His and Scouts relationship has gotten to an all time low
Now that Jem is mean, Scout wants Dill
But Dill is in Meridian building a boat, fishing for krill
Now that Dill can’t come
She thinks this summer will be dumb
They go to Calpurnia’s church just for fun
Theres no other whites there, not one
Everyone there treats them with respect
Except for a women named Lula who gave them nothing but neglect
Scout finds out that Tom is accused by Mr. Ewell of rape
But why would anyone listen to him because his facts are of a distorted shape
Scout asks Calpurnia to come over for awhile
Calpurnia said yes with a small smile
The church let the kids see through Cal’s eyes
And with the church their summer reached all new highs

Chapter 13
Written by Andrew, Jonathan B., Peter, Anonymous
Aunt Alexandra comes to stay
She thinks that Scout should not play
She is full of Finch family pride
To the children she can be rather snide
Aunt Alexandra wants Scout to talk with other ladies
She would be more likely to win a mercedes
Atticus talks to the children on their aunt's bidding
Reminds them they have a family name that they are forgetting
She knows the other families' traits
To the family name she fears Atticus will bring hate
Atticus in the end blows off steam
Scout cries since Atticus has never been mean.

Chapter 14
Written by Brandon, Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous
Whispers and murmurs fill the town
Every time Jem and Scout are around
Aunt Alexandra is not too fond of Cal’s church
And she tells Atticus for a new maid he should search
Scout and Jem begin to fight
Atticus breaks them up in the speed up light
Dill was hiding under their bed
He ran away from home, he’s going to be dead
He traveled by foot and train
But Atticus kept him in from the rain.

Chapter 15

Tom Robinson got put in jail,
He didn’t even have a chance for bail
The trial was getting near
Which in his heart, struck fear.
Atticus reads while he’s guarding
People came with a plan of discarding
They thought they would kill Tom
The complete opposite of calm
The men walk up the stairs
As Atticus sits and glares
They tell him to move
But of course, he disapproves.
The children come out of hiding
And little Scout had her eyes still widening
She told one of the men to tell this son “Hey”
And eventually, the men drove away.
