Chapter 1
Written by David, Elma, Herman, Makda, Scott
Three children in Maycomb,
Scout, Jem and Dill.
They heard of Arthur Radley,
who they called “Boo.”
Boo never left his house,
his father wouldn’t let him
he got into trouble with the law,
the situation was grim.
Dill was excited
he wanted to see Boo.
So he asked Jem kindly
to go outside his room.
He touched the wall
then ran back
and as he looked at the window
he swore he saw black.
Something like a shadow
or the movement of a wacko...
Scout, Jem and Dill.

Dill leaves for Meridian, said he cannot stay,
Jem and Scout are sad, but he said he'd be back after May.
Scout goes to school, and her teacher gets mad,
Says she shouldn't be taught to read by her dad.
Miss Caroline wants to see their lunches, filled with good food,
When she comes to a kid named Walter, whose jaw a hookworm chewed.
Scout says Cunninghams are poor, the teacher thinks she's bashing,
Tells Scout to talk no more, and gives her a good lashing.
The class walks out after school, Scout follows behind,
She thought the day was bad for her, but it was worse for Miss Caroline.

Chapter 3
Written by Sabrina, Sanskar, Anonymous, Anonymous
Scout went to school and got in a fight
Jem told her off and invited a Cunningham
when they got to dinner Walter piled food
Scout then protested and got called
Then she got told and ate in the kitchen
while everyone else ate in the dining room
She went back to school and the teacher was screaming
then saw that a cootie had appeared without anyone knowing
Burris left in a rage
with Miss Caroline in a daze
Scout went home and made a deal
they would read everyday after a meal
Overall Scout's day was bad.
She tried and persuaded
But came up empty-handed.

Chapter 4
Written by Alecia, Jonathan L., Natalia, Anonymous
Little Scout started to pout
When her brother Jem
Told her to spit her gum out.
When summer came about
So did little Dill
They all decided to get a thrill
From acting out the Radley’s story
And it got to be very gory
Then old Atticus came along and ruined all their fun
And he gave them a scolding, wait two not just one.

Chapter 5
Written by Cameron, Morgan, Steffen, Victor
Jem was convinced by Scout to hold off on their acting game
Jem and Dills fun was now gone, Scout was to blame.
After all that Scout watches Miss Maudie bake
Nothing else to do except sit and eat cake
Scout asks Miss Maudie if Boo Radley is still alive
She says yes since she hasn’t seen his coffin arrive
Scout asks if Boo went crazy
Miss Maudie says yes as she plants a daisy
Scout re-enters the group with Jem and Dill
Their plan is to place a note on Boo’s windowsill
They use a fishing pole to place the letter
If they had a longer fishing it would have been better
Instead of the Boo Radley they found Scouts dad
Seeing what they did he quickly got mad
He told them to stop teasing Mr. Radley
Scout and the boys walked home sadly
